MD law requires that a licensee have 5 years law enforcement experience or 5 years of experience as a licensed private investigator before you can hold a private investigator or security guard license. In most cases Maryland Licensing can provide a qualified license.

MD law requires any private detective or security guard agency doing business in MD have a physical Maryland address where the agency wall-license must be displayed and where all MD business records must be kept. The Maryland State Police Licensing Division will only send mail to your Maryland address. If your headquarters is out of state, Maryland Licensing can handle all of the above obligations and forward by 1st class mail.

Maryland Licensing can keep track of your agency and employees licenses, and notify you when agency and employee licenses are due for renewal.

Due to our qualified licensees and our knowledge of how the MD State Police Licensing division works, we can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the licensing process. In most cases we can reduce your wait time from 90+ days to 30 days or less.

Maryland law requires that business records be available for inspection by a MD State Police compliance officer Monday thru Friday during normal business hours. Once again, Maryland Licensing can fulfill this requirement.
